A favorite among instructors, free divers, hunters and divemasters world-wide. Made of an antioxident compound rubber, this is a "snappy" fin. It is well known that rubber compound fins are better performers than plastics. The vast majority of the $200 "split" fins are made of rubber, either completely, or the main ribbing of the fin which gives it it's strength and snap. Rubber fins also make for an easier kick stroke than plastic fins and cause less leg fatigue. For a fraction of the cost of the "split" fins, you can have a fin that performs as well, if not better, than most of the split fins.
The design of the Cyclone fin minimizes leg fatigue while maximizing power. The vents allow water through the fin, which supports the fin and prevents cavitation. Though heavier than plastic, the weight is an important factor in it’s performance because of the non-cavitating design. This allows the blade to remain under the surface for maximum propulsion by eliminating the interference of turbulence, giving you the ultimate in hydro dynamics. The large ridges and channels provide balanced propulsion and the quick release buckles work smoothly and easily.
