COVID 19 impact.
Due to Covid 19 our water training sessions are temporarily suspended. We are hoping to get started again in June, but it is dependent upon state safety requirements
You can still get started with the elearning portion of our programs at home and be ready to go as soon as we resume training. If you get started now you will be first on the list to choose training dates once we can get started again. Since our classes are always full during a normal summer, I would expect them to fill fast once we get them on the schedule again. Get started with the studies now and be at the top of the list when it comes time to book the water training.

BEGINNER OPEN WATER CERTIFICATION COURSE
Our PADI 5 Star Open Water Diver Course begins with an interesting eLearning Home Study program. You should plan to spend 10 to 15 hours on the home studies. Upon completion of the home studies you will be ready to participate in the swimming pool/confined water practice where you will learn about the skills and equipment necessary for safe, enjoyable diving. The pool training will take one evening. The pool facility is located right next door to our shop on Westlake Ave N. Once the pool training is completed you will progress to two days of diving at recreational dive sites throughout Puget Sound. Upon successful completion of the training weekend you will become certified as a a PADI Open Water Diver. All participants are responsible for their own transportation of themselves and their diving equipment from the Dive Center to the dive sites and back. 2 or more divers receive 10% discount off the tuition portion of the program. Military, Law Enforcement and Fire Protection personnel receive 15% discount off the tuition portion of the program. Please contact us to receive this discount. Swimming ability? You do not need to be a great swimmer but, a minimum swimming ability is necessary for certification in SCUBA diving and will be tested the evening of the pool session. You will be asked to swim 300 yards without stopping, or swimming on your back, and then you must be able to tread water for 10 minutes without stopping or holding onto the side of the pool or another diver. If you do not feel you can accomplish these tasks at this time it is recommended that you practice your swimming before registering for SCUBA lessons. This program has a minimum age of 13 years old.
